Week 3 of the @oneroomchallenge with @betterhomesandgardens is up on the blog! Excited to say Detail-Decisions were made this week and progress has been made!

So, it’s week 3 of the #orc but if you’ve been following along, you know that we have been living through this chaos for several weeks! 🤦🏻‍♀️

For those of you that have lived through a remodel-and stayed in your house during ALL OF IT! I feel your pain! 😫😫 While, I can see a small glimmer of light at the end of a very long tunnel- my patience wearing veeerrryy thin. Anyone else been there?? My poor family- they are troopers for putting up with me and rolling along with things like the patio table hanging out in the middle of our family room! 💙 😂

My daughter will be turning ONE in less than two weeks! 😭😭😭 Stop growing, girl!!! I cannot believe how quickly this year has gone by! She's the happiest little thing and has such an amazing personality. ⠀

Mom Hack...a term I’ve coined meaning little bits of wisdom given to your kids to help them grow to be confident, capable, happy adults. To be honest, these Mom Hacks are usually blurted out during those crazy-oh my god-I did not just see that- moments. ⠀
-Noooooo, you can’t put a metal fork in a toaster that's on!⠀
-If you shove dirty dishes under your bed, you will get ants. Really, you will.⠀
-First, thank you for washing the dishes. Next time, please use soap. ⠀
I hope I’m not the only mom who has these conversations! If I am...where have I gone wrong! 🤦🏻‍♀️😉⠀

Mom Hack #357....Never, EVER leave the house with the washing machine running because you just never know what could go wrong. Whelp, as you can probably imagine, what could go wrong, did go wrong! Water damage = a gutted kitchen (literally, not even the sink is left) + a gutted laundry room + kids + LAUNDRY + a house full of pets...I mean I could go on and on! ⠀

I know that this is not the time to place blame (and actually it wasn’t my kiddos who left the machine running...ah'hem dear, sweet husband) but, rather do the best we can in this crazy, messy, situation. On the bright side...if there is one...we have the opportunity to redesign our kitchen & laundry room. The problem is that we have to decide the major design details this week! No pressure, right? I've narrowed the inspiration down to three looks: ⠀
